This is a forum based on the browser game Vampires! A Dark Alleyway created by Raven Black. If you've found this site, you should know of this game (sometimes referred to as RBC - RavenBlack City).
The city is a rather socially fragmented and politically diverse place to be in, and many groups have arisen for various purposes. The most common group is a "clan," which is a gathering of like-minded vampires - not necessarily related by blood - to achieve one or more purposes. The most basic purpose of a clan is to defend its members; the City is also a very violent place, and as a lone being there is not much that you can do. Hence, vampires will band together to form effective fighting units.
This particular clan is Neutral. We have no alignment ("good," "evil," et cetera) and the members only attack when sorely provoked (a basic "you hit us, we hit you" sort of philosophy). However, it would be foolish to engage in the the fighting portion of the game without having a relatively strong character/account to use, and we will help anyone that needs it. A clan's main focus is one thing - helping its members; usually just aiding them with information to make their vampire stronger and being ready to stand by other clan members in case of unjust attack.
When you join this forum, there would be a short application process to go through that is basically only in place to ensure that you are, in fact, interested and not joining just to spy on any proceedings that you might be able to witness. The game is something that is much more involved that some might initially think, and a few people take things more seriously than they likely should.
Upon 'applying to the clan,' you will be asked to give the name of your account. In case you did not know, there is a special power that allows others to see most of your stats (which is everything except possessions/inventory). If you are found to be lacking in powers or blood, you will be helped/taught/whatever to help you attain this most basic level of readiness. After that, you will be able to engage in full clan functions and a variety of things that should make your experience with the game more enjoyable.
FAQ
What we are
A place for you to learn comfortably at your own rate. If you already know quite a bit, perhaps you can refine that knowledge here.
What this place is not
If your vampire consistently gets into trouble (you've already had multiple run-ins with the fighting part of the game), this is not a group that will protect you from harm. Clans will not waste resources on those who bring them trouble from mere association.
What is expected of you
Just stay fairly active, logging in and moving your vampire around. Some clans/groups will tell you to do certain tasks or contribute funds (coins, the currency within the game) but we feel that is unnecessary and doesn't help you enjoy the game at all. You'll also be expected to read things, as there's a lot of information floating around, but not much else. We also highly recommend that you stay away from the chats that the game has built in.
Why this clan exists
There are a number of clans within the game, quite a lot in fact, and I personally was unsatisfied with how most were run. Clan CyƤegha was made to be different from the norm; to be something everyone should like being a part of.
Special note for the FP
For those that don't know, FP stands for "Fully Powered." It means you have managed to get every useful power in the game (some are optional).
The FP vampires are not really required to do anything other than collect coins and buy themselves more non-gift items. Warriors/Fighters will have access to a list of recommended levels of powers/blood/inventory that they should strive to maintain (and continually increase). And if the time comes for you to fight, you're expected to throw your vampire into the fray (strategies we will have, of course) unless there are major concerns in your life. Real life always comes before a game.
Special note for the RPers
Most information is written to be taken IC (if this is wrong, send a message to this account and it will be fixed). No worries about Crossing, as sections are clearly marked - if not, it's probably IC or mostly for those that do not RP.
